warmThe City of Hamilton has issued a cold weather alert Sunday for overnight low dipping to -10 Celsius and feeling like -21 with wind chill.

The cold weather alert is still in effect today. People are asked to call or visit friends and neighbors who may be at risk.To lower those risk factors, Hamilton’s health department suggests:

● keeping inner clothing layers dry. Wet clothing increases the risk of cold injury;

● protecting your face, ears and hands with a scarf, hat and gloves;

● making sure your socks are dry. Wool is a good material for this.

Please remember to visit the Weather Network, or listen to the local news and radio to get prepared for the weather conditions of the day. For more information, visit hamilton.ca/cold.
